Industry: The HBO Show That Will Make You Want to Work in Finance

Kingdom Business is giving us so much bang for our BET+ buck. This 9.3 rated IMDB story is scandalous. It follows the story of the reigning gospel music queen, Denita Jordan, in real life known as Yolanda Adams, one of the greats, and her ex-boyfriend and music producer, Caesar, who gave her her start in music. Denita runs a megachurch along with her husband. She is very determined to keep her place on the pulpit by keeping her family’s not-so-nice secrets hidden but she has a dark side, and so does her husband, the Bishop, played by Micheal Beach. Alongside these two characters, we are introduced to Rebel, a talented singer with a stripper past. We watch her grow and uncover the Jordan family’s secrets that have impacted her life. Rebel is the beautiful Serayah, aka Tiana from Empire. She is playing a similar singing role but showcasing her talents differently. The show also takes us behind the scenes of the treacherous music business and how the gospel sector is not exempt from the issues that come with fame, money, power, and success. We could not help but dirtybinge this show because the first episode ended with such a bang. We stayed up all night to get halfway through the eight-episode season to watch. This is a must-watch and stars some other players like Tamar Braxton and Kiandra Richardson, who also starred in Empire. The show has excellent music and casts a must-watch!
